RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
This family home was tired and in need of updating. The biggest challenge was the entry way, which served as a utility space complete with washer and dryer! I designed bespoke joinery to cleverly hide away the white goods - with plenty of space for additional tool storage and a vacuum cleaner - and allowed a small built up area to serve as a hall table with a bench - for a much more inviting first impression of the home.
In the hallway, further storage was created under the stairs and a stunning floral feature wall paper used up the stairs - further accented by painting the existing pine stair rail in a grey. The floor to the entrance and hall was given a checkerboard treatment with a harlequin effect grey and off-white tile scheme.
The living room used accents of green as it led on to a patio area with views of the garden. The client had lots of possessions they wanted to display so bespoke storage was created either side of the fireplace - allowing the television to be tucked away to one side. I created a bespoke bar area by recycling an old drop down desk into the cabinetry design. Painting the storage in one colour tied it all together for a seamless look. I used quirky cushions to add a sense of fun and passion.
